Hull City 2 - 1 Fulham


The new boy, Hull City howled like a gale to smash away the giants, Fulham.

Substitute Caleb Folan led Hull City to a victory and a three points lead against Fulham in the brand new season of EPL. This was Hull's first ever match in the top division of EPL.

The hosts Hull City fell behind to Seol Ki-Hyeon's header after eight minutes. Geovanni equalised the score before the first half.

Then with nine minutes remaining, Craig Fagan pick-pocketed Paul Konchesky and set up Folan to secure the points.

Fulham who won their last three away matches of last season to stay up, couldnt do finishing touches to the opportunities they got in the game.

Fulham - Johnson deal finished










Fulham have signed striker Andy Johnson. He was with Everton in last season. The transfer tok place with an undisclosed fee.

He is in a four year deal with the Craven Cottage club. The forward player of Crystal Palace, Everton is now entered as 11th in the of transfer list of Fulham in this summer.

Manager Roy Hodgson said: "I have made no secret of my wish to add Andy Johnson to my squad at Fulham.

According to reports, Everton will initially receive £10.5 million for Johnson but that could rise to £12 million with add-ons. Johnson's future has been in doubt since he missed the club's friendly against Preston last week.

Johnson moved to Goodison Park in May 2006 for £8.6 million and scored 22 goals in 74 appearances. He had an impressive first season on Merseyside but last term found himself overshadowed by the arrival of Yakubu, who hit 23 goals in his first season.

Fulham have had a busy summer in the transfer market and they have already signed Mark Schwarzer, Andranik Teymourian, Zoltan Gera, David Stockdale, Toni Kallio, Bobby Zamora and John Pantsil.

Swedish defender Fredrik Stoor is also on the verge of arriving in a £2 million deal.Fulham's previous record signing was Frenchman Steve Marlet, an £11.5 million buy from Lyon in 2001.
